Mission, Statement of Vision, and Purpose

Mission Statement:
The Hangout provides a community resource whereby young people can come to know Jesus Christ
and nurture a relationship with Him.

Vision Statement:
The Hangout is a place which honors the mission of Jesus Christ where vital, relevant activities provide
the vehicle for development of authentic relationships.

Purposes of The Hangout:
1. Provide the opportunity for hurting and unchurched youth to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. Develop authentic relationships between Christian adults and young people.
3. Provide appropriate activities for all types of youth, ages 13-21.
4. Provide positive Christian adult role models for young people of the area.
5. Provide a place where relationships with Christian adults and Christian peers are nurtured.
6. Direct young people who are beginning to nurture a relationship with Jesus Christ into area church programs __which will disciple and develop that relationship.
